One Injured in Kalimantan Emergency Landing

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: A small turboprop plane operated by a local small airline Trigana Air experienced a hard landing in East Kalimantan. No report of casualties so far but one passenger reportedly suffered bone fracture. The plane reportedly carried 46 pasengers.
The ATR 42 - 300 according to a spokesman for the airline made an emergecy landing in Bone Village, Semboja Subdistrict, Kutai Kartanegara regency in flight from Kalimarau Airport in Berau Regency to Temindung Airport in Samarinda the seat of East Kalimantan Province.
Operation Supervisor of Trigana Air in Temindung Airport, Danang, said he had received report that one of the plane's engine stopped working before the emergency landing at about 11:40 local time (+8GMT) which damaged the plane's lower fuselage. Pilots reportedly intended to land at Sepinggan Airport as the airport has longer runway.
Two pilots, all the passengers, and three crews according to Head of the Security and Safety Section of Temindung Airport Roesmanto survived the accident. The airline has cancelled all flights.
