Bomb Threat Sent To A Sumatra Shopping Mall

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Three bomb threats were sent on Wednesday to a shopping mall in Palmebang South Sumatra, a day after the terror crackdown near Jakarta which culminates over two weeks of terror operation in Aceh.
The threats, received at 10.15 am, 11.10 am and 11:50 am with a stressing in the third call that the mall operator should not take the threat as a joke. Report to police and evacuation of visitors and tenants was not made until the third call came.
A manager of the shopping Rihansyah said the caller spoke in indonesian and identified himself as member of the Jamaah Islamiyah.
The threat were made through phone calls from a single number saying bombs have been planted at two section of the mall, Texas fast food restaurant and the Atrium section of the mall.
A report also circulating that another shopping centre in the city, Palembnag Square have also received bom threat.
