Museums Support the Visit Museum Year

TEMPO Interactive, Sleman:Eleven museums in Sleman regency are ready to support the 2010 Visit Museum Year. “The main target of this program are students and the young generation,” said the Sleman Culture Office chief Untoro Budiharjo, yesterday. The 11 museums that are still operating and deserve to be promoted are the museums of painter Affandi, the Veteran National Development University’s Mineral Geo-technology, Mandala Bhakti Wanitatama, Ullen Sentalu, artist Nyoman Gunarsa, Pancasila Sakti, Gadjah Mada University’s Paleo-anthropology, Indonesian Air Force’s Dirgantara Mandala and Prambanan Temple.

The Cultural Office is collaborating with the Yogyakarta Regional Museum Council and the Education Office to support the Visit Museum Year through school trip programs for students from kindergarten to high school students.
