Government Reviewing New Students Acceptance System

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The entrance test mechanism that is different in state universities will be reviewed by the National Education Ministry. This was conveyed by the National Education Deputy Minister Fasli Jalal after a hearing at the House of Representatives (DPR) yesterday. The review will be done to see whether the method that has been applied so far is useful or ineffective, or if there is a middle ground.



Fasli said he could not judge the current student acceptance system yet, adding that the Education Minister’s regulation is giving the freedom to accept new students using the university’s own policy, the national system, or in collaboration with another university.
