Monday, 30 November, 2009 | 13:58 WIB

TEMPO Interactive, Bandung: Some areas in the southern part Indonesia will have longer day times than in its northern part. The day time will be at its longest time on December 22.

“Because the sun will be at the southern area,” said Head of the Atmosphere and Climate Science Center of the National Space Aviation Institution, Thomas Djamaludin, in Bandung, on Monday (30/11).

He explained that this happened every year. The day time becomes longer gradually since October.

“The sun in the southern part will stay for more than 12 hours,” he said. While in northern area like Aceh and Maluku, the day time will be shorter.
