TEMPO Interactive, Madiun: The State-Owned Railway Company (PT KAI) for regional operational area VII in Madiun has agreed to delay the train schedule so that bicycle riders participating in the bicycle contest of 2009 Tour D'Indonesia can pass through.
“We delay the schedule up to 10 minutes,” said KAI's head of public relations, Hariyono Wirotomo, Thursday (26/11).
He said that the riders are scheduled to arrive in Madiun on Saturday (28/11) before continuing the contest on Sunday (29/11). “They will leave Madiun at 9am,” he said.
However, Hariyono is ensuring that the railway services would not be bothered. The train will continue its trip right after the riders have passed the railway.
He said that the company supported the contest as it is followed by riders from Indonesia as well as abroad. “There are many riders of international class in the contest,” he said.
