Central Java Governor Assures Investors of Security

TEMPO Interactive, Semarang: Central Java Governor, Bibit Waluyo, has said that he guaranteed security and comfort for investors investing in the region.

Bibit mentioned this in the 2009 Central Java of Investment Business Forum at the Sunan Hotel in Surakarta, yesterday (19/11).

“I had experience as commander of the military area command of Diponegoro,” said Bibit.

He said that the experience helped him create a feeling of security in Central Java and so investors would be interested in the region.

He also said that investment in Central Java would be free from illegal levies.

He explained that the healthy investment climate in the region could be seen from the plan of several large industries relocating from Jakarta to Boyolali soon.

Bibit said that the government was currently improving public facilities.

He also asked all regents and mayors in Central Java to also contribute to healthy climate investment. “At least they can socialize this to the general public,” said Bibit.
