Aceh Airport Improves Security

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport in Aceh has increase security measures after the bom blasts in Jakarta on Friday last week which killed nine people.

Head of the Administration and Commercial Unit Heru Pitoyo told Tempo on Monday (20/7) operator of the airport have requested support from the police and the airforce to improve surveillance in several areas in the airport, activating 32 closed circuit TV's at the airport and remove all vehicles from the partking area in front of the terminal to the parking area below the terminal.

Checks on vehicles will be tighten and Heru pleaded cooperation frm the public in securing the airport by reporting any suspicious act or movements to the authorities.
