Election Security Should not be Repressive says President

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: During the celebration of the 63rd Indonesian police anniversary, better known as Bhayangkara, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono asked the police not to secure the election in a repressive way.
The President said that a firm action does not mean a repressive one.
“It should be persuasive,” said President.
He suggested the police increase the coordination among the state institutions and elements so the election can be held in peacefully and smoothly.
“The Police has made many achievements especially when taking care of the legislative election and campaigning period,” he said.
