Indonesian Treated in Bandung For Swine Flu Symptoms

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: An Indonesian flight crew of a Malaysian carrier was admitted to Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung West Java on Monday (11/5) afternoon for flu symptoms. Local health officials said the measure was taken to anticipate possible swine flu case.
A co-pilot of Air Asia identified as ES, 39, was taken to the hospital after suffering fever, coughs, and influenza during flight from Singapore and Malaysia to Bandung.
Alma Luchyati head of West Java regional health office said on Tuesday (12/5) the co-pilot was admitted as a precautionary step for a possible swine flu case. It was the third suspected swine flu case found in indonesian airports after the first case in Soekarno-Hatta airport and Ngurah Rai Airport, last week. The first suspect found in Soekarno Hatta Airport was a 53 year old Australian and the second was a 32-year old Dutch.
They were being treated at Sulianti Saroso Hospital in Jakarta and Sanglah Hospital in Bali respectively.
