Health Ministry: Negative Result for Suspected Swine Flu Patient

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Health ministry confirmed a 53 year old male admitted to a Jakarta Hospital for being suspected of contracting the swine flu. The confirmation came as Minister Siti Fadilah Supari said on Wednesday (6/5) test results on the 53 year old malehave come negative.

The male suspectedly from Singapore reportedly admitted on Tuesday (5/5) to Sulianti Saroso Hospital in North Jakarta which had been serving as the center for bird flu response.

Health Miniter Siti Fadilah Supari informed on the test result on a telephone conversation with Tempo on Wednesday night.

The man was detained after passing through the heat sensors at Soekarno-Hatta airport. Siti Fadilah said the man have made a stop in Hongkong. No detailed report whether the man was arrested for higher body temperature or for stopping over in Hongkong.
