Kalla: Defense Remains a Priority

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Vice President Jusuf Kalla said the government will have defense and security affairs as a priority. The impact of the global crisis cannot delay procurement of military equipment.
“Awareness is important for everybody although we are having economic difficulty,”said Kalla in Jakarta yesterday during the exhibition of defense and aerospace affairs.
The exhibition is expected for an information exchange and cooperation. It was attended by Defense Minister Juwono Sudarsono, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs, and Trade Minister Fahmi Idris.
