Public Debate of West Java Governor Candidates Tonight

TEMPO Interactive, Bandung: The West Java General Elections Commission (KPU) will present a public debate between pairs of governor and vice governor candidates, at the Hotel Horison in Bandung, tonight, 07.30pm.
“We want to show people that we can have a peaceful election,” said head of working group for information dissemination of West Java KPU, Ferry Kurnia Rizkiansyah to Tempo.
The public debate will be attended by three pairs of candidates: Danny-Setiawan-Iwan Sulanjana; Agum Gumelar-Nu'man Abdul Hakim, and Akhmad Heryawan-Dede Yusuf. This event will also end the campaign activity until the voting day of April 13.
The debate will be shown on national TV and relayed by the entire private local TVs in Bandung. Meutia Hafidz will be the moderator of the debate that will last for 1.5 hours in six sessions.
West Java regional police commissioner Dade Achmad said that they will have special security for this event. “We will do it in layers because it is being held in a small place with a great deal of traffic,” he said to Tempo.
The police will apply the safety approach to the street of Pelajar Pejuang that is right at the front of Hotel Horison. This strategy will be adjusted to the traffic later tonight.
