Swiss Ready to Help Bring Back Corruptors’ Assets
Friday, 09 February, 2007 | 11:51 WIB

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The Indonesian and Swiss governments agreed to improve cooperation of legal and human rights within mutual legal assistance (MLA).

“Cooperation such as this is very important in eradicating corruption including asset tracking and asset recovery,” said President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono during a press conference after a bilateral meeting with Swiss President Micheline Calmy-Rey at the State Palace, Jakarta, yesterday (8/2).

President Micheline Calmy-Rey said since 1980, the Swiss have had laws to help other countries track corruption and bring it back to the original country. He cited assets that belong to the Philippine and Nigeria.
