Muslim Defender's Team Asks Supreme Court to Take Over Amrozi's Review

TEMPO Interactive, Solo: The Muslim Defender's Team will not attend the review (PK) court that three convicts of Bali bombing I case have requested should it be held at the Denpasar District Court.
Achmad Michdan, legal adviser of Amrozi and his fellow convicts, stated that they would report the Denpasar District Court to the Supreme Court if the session continues to be held in Bali.
The Denpasar District Court has suspended the review session twice because the legal advisers of the review appellants were reluctant to attend.
According to Michdan, the absence of the Muslim Defender's Team in the court was caused by the inability of his clients to appear in court.
“If the Supreme Court does not want to move the investigation location to the Cilacap District Court, which is nearer to Nusakambangan, it should handle the case itself,” he said Thursday (02/01).
Michdan explained that the investigation into convicts in review sessions can actually be carried out anywhere.
“The Denpasar court should have only received the review registration, not forced an investigation into the case,” he said.
