TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The union of several organizations, the Joint Secretariat, will report Agung Laksono, House of Representatives (DPR) Chairperson, and Bambang Sudibyo, Education Minister, to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Friday (1/12).
The organization regards that the distribution of education vouchers during the Ramadan safari created financial losses for the state.
“The amount of schools that are referred are indefinite,” said Muzakir Jabir, chairperson of the Organization Savior Assembly at the Islamic Students Association (HMI MPO), when contacted in Jakarta.
The Joint Secretariat of four elements of the people comprises: the Petition 50 Working Group, the People's Marhaen Movement, the HMI MPO and the New Order Alert Committee.
This organization is doubtful about the accountability of the voucher distribution that is regarded as critical to political interests.
The reason is Agung and Bambang did not explain the criteria of the referred schools.
Tomorrow Muzakir will only report Agung and Bambang, however he hopes that during its investigation, KPK can also scrutinized a number of other DPR members.
In addition to reporting to KPK, Muzakir has also asked the DPR Ethics Committee to accelerate the claim process so that there is no negative stigma in the general public.
So far Muzakir has not yet obtained an invitation either directly or written and only knew from the media that he will be invited on January 11.
He hopes that his claim can be processed before DPR's recess period, which starts on December 8.
