Monday, 20 November, 2006 | 22:03 WIB

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Taufiequrachman Ruki, Head of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Muladi, Governor of the National Resilience Agency (Lemhanas).

The cooperation is being carried out in education, strategic studies, socialization and information exchange in terms of corruption eradication.

“This cooperation is strategic and synergistic,” said Ruki in a press statement received by Tempo, Monday (20/11).

Ruki said Lemhanas’ position is important because its duty is to prepare future national leaders, study conceptions and solidify national values.

In the educational sector, an anti-corruption educational program will be developed.

As regards information exchange, this is to be carried out in relation to data, analysis results and human resources assistance.

In addition to the cooperation activities mentioned above, Ruki said the possibility for cooperation in other sectors is still open.

KPK and Lemhanas agreed to appoint two persons each as liaison officers.
