Thursday, 02 November, 2006 | 20:14 WIB

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The government is going to supervise as well as evaluate a number of regional regulations.

According to Justice and Human Rights Minister Hamid Awaludin, the plan was made to synchronize legal construction of regional regulations so that they will be in line with Law number 10/2004 concerning Setting Up of Legal Provisions.

“So that there will be uniformity,' said Hamid after the Dharma Karya Dhika commemoration day at the Department of Justice and Human Rights yesterday (11/1).

According to Hamid, supervision and evaluation plans will be directed to legal construction and regulation designation.

The plan will also consider values related with human rights principles.

Supervision and evaluation plans will be pro-actively carried out by every regional offices.

Consequently, said Hamid, regional offices will not only take care of every day administrative matters.

“But they become center for legal services of the central government in the regions,” he said.
