Lawyers Demand Delay of the Execution of Amrozi and Accomplices

TEMPO Interactive, Solo: The Team of Moslem Lawyers (TPM) demanded that the execution of the Bali I suicide bombers be delayed since there is still legal action to release them. “They can't be executed yet for there is not yet any final legal decision,” Mahendradatta of the TPM revealed. “Although they were not asking for clemency, the three accused have the right for self-defense through reconsideration.”

Mahendradatta was comparing it to different treatment received by the prisoners on death row concerning the Poso conflict, Tibo and friends, which has until this moment have not been executed. Moreover, with the execution of Bali Bomb I the three prisoners have already planned their execution.
