Illegal Groups in Aceh Must Be Disbanded

TEMPO Interactive, Banda Aceh: Bambang Darmono, the Indonesian Government’s Representative on the Aceh Monitoring Mission (AMM), has assured that there will no longer be any illegal groups in Aceh.

Bambang made this statement at the Governor's Hall in Banda Aceh on Wednesday (21/6).

According to him, should groups still exist, they will be shortly disbanded.

This is in accordance with decision R-13 of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, dated March 18 this year.

The decision was made as a guarantee that illegal organizations will no longer exist in Aceh.

“This means that every organization must have a permit in line with existing regulations,” said Bambang.

The regulation has been valid since June 15 this year, not only for Aceh, but also for all of Indonesia.
