The Case of Illegal Levies in Penang Is Transferred

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The case of a corruption suspect on the illegal levies by the Republic of Indonesia's Consular General in Penang, Malaysia, with the suspect of former RI's Consular General, Erick Hikmat Setiawan and the Head of Immigration Subdirectorate, Khusnul Yakin Payopo, were transferred by the Commission to Eradicate Corruption to the prosecuting attorney.
According to Suharsyah, Khusnul Yakin Payopo's lawyer, the documents were transferred from the investigators to the attorney, witnessed by the lawyer of each suspect.
“The transfer of each defendant was carried out separately,” he said when contacted yesterday.
The prosecution against the two defendants will be handled by the appointed three attorneys, Wisnu Baroto, Kadek Wiradana, and Edi Hartoyo.
