TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The condition of former President Suharto has improved.
The Head of the former president’s team of doctors, Mardjo Soebiandono, made this statement at a press conference at Pertamina Central Hospital, today (25/5).
Suharto's hemoglobin today reached 9.4 gram percent.
The team of doctors will also remove the catheter and pipes from his large intestine.
“Suharto's consciousness has improved, so if he wants to urinate, he can say so,” said Mardjo.
However, he went on to say that Suharto has had a cold since last night.
The myoclonus (spasm due to muscles movement) has also reoccurred.
“But these do not affect Suharto's general health,” he said, adding that the former president did not suffer any more bleeding.
“If his condition is stable, perhaps Suharto’s treatment will be continued for another 10 days.
