PDI-P and PKB Push for Re-Holding of Regional Leaders Election in Tuban

TEMPO Interactive, Surabaya: The Indonesian Democracy Party of Struggle (PDI-P) and the National Awakening Party (PKB) have announced a joint demand for the regional leaders election in Tuban to be re-held.
The two parties support the Noor Nahar Hussein-Go Tjong Ping pairing who based on the initial voting result lost against the Golkar party nomineepairing of Haeny Relawati-Lilik Suhandjono, and believe that many deceits occurred in the regional leaders election (pilkada) in the North coastal region, East Java.
This joint attitude was stated at PDI-P East Java Regional Representatives Assembly (DPD) Office, Surabaya, today (3/5).
PDI-P Central Leadership Council (DPP) Chairman, Firman Jaya Daeli, Sutjipto, PDI-P East Java DPD Chairman, Sirmadji Tjondropragolo, and PKB East Java District Representatives Assembly (DPW) Semarang congress version, Imam Nachrawi, also attended this meeting.
Sirmadji, who read the statement, said there has not been a re-election in Indonesia and the strict measurements for this do not exist.
However, evidence of deceit at Tuban Regional Election Commission (KPUD) can partially can be the legal base for a re-election.
