Monday, 24 April, 2006 | 16:43 WIB

TEMPO Interactive, Mataram: The Coordinating Minister for the People's Welfare, Aburizal Bakrie, has said that the government will build a Physics Olympics school in Indonesia.

The school is expected to be able to increase the quality of Indonesian human resources to equal other Asian countries.

A large number of Indonesian children have won in the Physics Olympics.

These are not just students from Jakarta, but also from Semarang, Klaten, Palembang, and even Papua.

“We cannot be called under privileged or stupid,” said Minister Aburizal Bakrie to around one thousand people in Tebaban Village, East Lombok, East Nusa Tenggara, at the opening ceremony of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (an elementary level Muslim school school) yesterday.

At Dasan Kopong hamlet, Aburizal personally prepared the building of a library with computer facilities.

He said the government will pay attention to the education and health which got worse after decentralization.

The government will also increase the capabilities of Madrasah teachers.
