Students Ask for Aceh Bill to be Legalized

TEMPO Interactive, Banda Aceh: Around 200 students joined together in a Peaceful Aceh Alliance held a demonstration at Simpang Lima Circle, Banda Aceh yesterday. They demanded that the House of Representatives (DPR) accommodate all the Acehnese aspirations and legalize the Aceh Government Bill soon.

Besides distributing flyers, they had some banners, reading, “Don’t lie to us, we don’t ask much, only peace… peace…”, “Don’t cut any of Aceh’s propositions. These are what must be legalized soon,” said Azhar from Aceh Muhammadiyah’s Student Union.
