TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) has finished its audit of the management of the Aceh and Nias earthquake and tsunami emergency response fund.

According to BPK member, Baharuddin Aritonang, the audit results are planned to be submitted to the Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD) this week.

The result of the audit into management of these state budget funds the State Budget amounting to Rp1.258 trillion will only be able to be publicized after being submitted to the DPR.

Baharuddin mentioned numerous weaknesses in the method of managing emergency response funds, which have the potential to allow wrongdoings.

Examples are the unclear post-emergency availability and usage of capital goods, unnecessary squandering, and delays in shipment of logistic supplies for the victims.
