Suciwati: Pollycarpus Is a Facade

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Suciwati, the wife of the late Munir, Indonesian human rights activist, considered that the 14-year jail sentence for Pollycarpus Budihari Prianto was not the answer for her husband’s mysterious death.

“Pollycarpus is only a facade,” said Suciwati after the reading of Munir’s murder case ruling at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (20/12).

Suciwati said that her main wish was to find the mastermind behind Munir’s death. Therefore she has asked that the system continue the investigation on this case.

Munir was killed on the aircraft during a trip between Singapore-Amsterdam on September 7, 2004. Based on the autopsy in the Netherlands, he was poisoned by arsenic.
