Saturday, 19 November, 2005 | 12:13 WIB
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:In order to develop the ties between the three people allegedly involved in the bombing in Jimbaran, two of the suspects were brought out for a walk at Bali Police headquarters (HQ).
They are Anif Zulchanudin aka Pendek, 24, who comes from Semarang and Abdul Azis aka Jaffar, 30, who is from Pekalongan, Central Java.
“The only one being checked is Cholily. According to detectives, two other suspects are in the process of developing outside,” said the coordinator of the suspects’ lawyer Zulfikar Ramly on Friday (18/11).
Bali Police spokesman High Comm. A.S. Reniban confirmed that the suspects had been brought from Bali Police headquarters (HQ). “The detectives have kept on with various activities to obtain information,” stated Reniban.
A source at Bali Police said that Anif had declined having known Abdul Azis and Cholili. He admitted knowing who they were when they were on the same plane from Semarang to the Bali Police.
Anif also denied knowing a man called Tedi, who was named by police as having been involved in a terrorist network. (Rofiqi Hasan-Tempo News Room)
