Another Kuningan Bomber Sentenced to Death

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:South Jakarta District Court judges, led by Roki Panjaitan, have sentenced Iwan Darmawan Mutho aka Rois, 29, to death.
The Court judges said that Rois had been proven guilty of having supported and hidden the other perpetrators in the bombing that took place in front of the Australian Embassy in Kuningan, Jakarta, on September 9, 2004.
This verdict was according to the charges made by the public prosecutors, led by Narendra Yatna, in the trial held on August 11.
During the trial, it was revealed that Rois had met with Dr. Azahari and Noor Din M. Top, who are alleged to be the masterminds of various acts of terror in Indonesia.
He also helped in providing and assembling the explosive materials as well as finding the rented house and purchasing the car with the number plate B 9065 NH used to explode the bombs in front of Australian Embassy, Jakarta.
Previously, the South Jakarta District Court sentenced other bombers in the case, Irun Hidayat to 3 years and six months in jail and Agus Ahmad to 4 years in jail.
