Widodo AS: Indonesia Wants Permanent Peace Solution

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The Indonesian government will soon hold a consultation meeting with the House of Representatives (DPR) regarding the agreement with the Free Aceh Movement (GAM).
Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Political, Law and Human Rights Widodo AS said that the meeting was scheduled to take place on Tuesday next week.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the policy taken by the government in seeking a peaceful solution with GAM.
According to Widodo, the government has held informal meetings in Helsinki five times in order to obtain a final solution.
“The government wants a solution that is permanent,” he stated. (Budi Riza-Tempo News Room)
