TNI and National Police Sign Agreement on Maritime Security

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has witnessed the signing of a joint agreement charter by the Indonesian Military (TNI) chief and the National Police chief to make improvements in maritime security and in the human resources of the TNI and the National Police.

The signing took place aboard Indonesian ship the Tanjung Nusanive-973, which was sailing in the waters off the Thousand Islands, on Monday (18/07).

The purpose of the joint agreement charter is to determine policies and ensure uniformity in methods of securing all of Indonesia’s national waters.
