Police Arrest Two Suspects in Kuningan Bombing

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The National Police has once again named two people, Joni Ahmad Fauzani and Solahuddin Sutawijaya aka Mihdad Umas aka Alahuddin aka Tito Ma’ruf aka Cepi as the main suspects in a terrorism case on Thursday (14/07).

Joni was arrested in Pacet, East Java, on Wednesday (06/07) and Solahuddin was arrested in Jakarta two days later.

National Police headquarters spokesperson Brig. Gen. Soenarko said that the naming of the two person as the suspects came as a result of the investigation into 13 people who were previously named as the main suspects in the case.

According to Soenarko, Joni and Solahuddin are alleged to have facilitated terrorism activities directly and indirectly by having hidden two masterminds of the Australian Embassy bombing, which took place in Jakarta on September 9, 2005. (Erwin Dariyanto-Tempo News Room)
