Police Arrest Another Possible Terrorism Suspect

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The National Police headquarters has arrested one more person allegedly involved in terrorism activities.

This man has the initials SS aka MD aka AL aka AM aka CP.

He was arrested on Friday (08/07) within the Jakarta Police headquarters working area.

National Police headquarters spokesman Brig. Gen. Soenarko said that SS was alleged to have hidden information regarding the whereabouts of police fugitives Noor Din M. Top and Dr. Azahari.

“From the investigations into 13 previous suspects, SS was alleged to have hidden information on the whereabouts of two police fugitives directly and indirectly,” Soenarko told reporters on Tuesday (12/07).

Previously, on Thursday (07/07), the police also arrested Fauzan, the caretaker of a Muslim orphanage school in Pacet, Mojokerto, East Java.

The police also named 13 people, who were arrested in Central Java and Jakarta, as suspects of terrorism crimes.

The police are yet to confirm the status of the two most recent detainees, Fauzan and SS, as suspects.

“According to the Terrorism Law, the police have 7 x 24 hours to investigate this case,” said Soenarko.
