Pertamina: Fuel Supplies Normal by End of July
Wednesday, 13 July, 2005 | 07:12 WIB

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:PT Pertamina, Indonesia’s state oil & gas company, has guaranteed that fuel supplies for national needs are available.

“I hope that by the third week of July or by the end of July, all fuel supplies will be back to normal,” said Pertamina’s Managing Director Widya Purnama at the State Ministry for State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in Jakarta on Tuesday (12/07).

Purnama said that fuel supplies are guaranteed because Pertamina has locked up all of its imports.

The amount of imported fuel now amounts to around 24 million barrels, consisting of 16 million barrels of ready products and 8 million barrels of crude oil.
Purnama also guaranteed that there would be no problems as regards the supply of fuel to the regions.

He even asked which regions questioned still have problems.

Purnomo said that Rp3.8 trillion in fuel subsidies for July have been received by Pertamina but not for the subsidies for August. (Tito Sianipar/Thoso Priharnowo-Tempo News Room)
