Tuesday, 12 July, 2005 | 08:40 WIB
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has delayed his visit to several countries during this month due to the fuel problem.
“When the fuel shortage problem is settled, I will go on the trip,” said Yudhoyono on Monday (11/07) at the State Palace in Jakarta.
The President said that he had already informed the People’s Republic of China, Brunei Darussalam and Thailand about the delay to his planned trip between July 13 and July 20.
He added that he had requested the understanding of the heads of these three countries through diplomatic channels.
Yudhoyono said that his plan to visit China was aimed at improving economic cooperation, including investment and trade.
“It is also aimed at handling trans-national crimes,” he said. (Yophiandi-Tempo News Room)
