On Eid-al-Fitr day, security will be focused on places of worships and empty residences.
Entertainment sites shall be tightly guarded until three days after Eid-al-Fitr day.
This high-alert status will be imposed for 16 days until November 21.
Gani also urged the members of the public to avoid dangerous places and be alert for kidnapping of students, several of which have taken places during the last few weeks.
“We will increase security at schools and observe and monitor activities of people who allegedly have plans to commit kidnappings,” said Gani. (Yophiandi –Tempo News Room)
