Case Dossiers in Ba’asyir Case Considered Complete

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has said that case dossiers for Indonesian Mujahiddin Council (MMI) supreme leader Abu Bakar Ba’asyir, who was allegedly involved in acts of terrorism, are already complete.
“Today, the AGO stated that Ba’asyir’s case dossiers for are complete,” National Police headquarters (HQ) spokesman Insp. Gen. Paiman told reporters at the National Police HQ, Jakarta, on Tuesday (24/08).
AGO spokesperson Kiemas Yahya Rahman confirmed Paiman’s statement.
National Police HQ’s anti-terror and bomb director Brig. Gen. Pranowo Dahlan said that Ba’asyir’s dossiers and other evidence from the police would be handed over to the AGO before Ba’asyir’s detention time ends on August 30.
Dahlan said that the police had used State Decree No.15/2003 on Anti-terrorism in compiling the dossiers for Ba’asyir’s case.
State Decree No.16/2003 on terrorism had been overruled by the Constitution Court. (Martha Warta - Tempo News Room)
