Over 3 Months Police Have Seized 168 Bombs in Poso

TEMPO Interactive, Poso, Central Sulawesi:The Central Sulawesi Police have seized 168 assembled bombs, 81 assembled long rifles, 21 firearms and 485 rounds of ammunition during a search operation carried out between January and March.

Central Sulawesi Police chief, Brig. Gen. Taufik Ridha, made this statement to reporters in Poso on Monday (26/4).

The police also seized one active grenade, two S & W 357 Magnum pistol revolvers, one bayonet and 27 arrows.

The police have distributed sketches of the main suspects in the shooting of Rosia Pilongo, dean of the legal faculty at the University of Sintuwu Maroso Poso, and priest Ferdy Wuisan.

The suspects are assumed to be hiding in Poso under the protection of militant group members. “We assume that the suspects are still hiding in Poso Kota,” said Ridha.
