Amount of Dengue Fever Victims Still High

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: There are still many people suffering from dengue fever at Fatmawati Hospital, South Jakarta.

Yesterday (28/1), there were an additional two patients being treated on folding beds (velbed) while there were three patients less in treatment rooms.

At Fatmawati Hospital, there are now still 114 patients being treated and 47 of them are being accomodated on velbeds.

Rahmawati, spokesperson of Fatmawati Hospital, said there were only three velbeds remaining are only three units.

“But so far they are still sufficient,” she said.

There are a total of 40 velbeds in the hospital, 10 of which are aid from the Health Service.

So far this January, as many as 498 dengue patients have been treated at the hospital.

Most of them are from South Jakarta and Ciputat, Tangerang.

Rahmawati confirmed that the availability of infusion, blood and treatment room at the hospital is still under control.

The hospital has a total of 535 rooms, which are sufficient to accommodate patients including those suffering from dengue fever.
