TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The South Jakarta District Court resumed the hearing on the murder of Human Rights activist Munir on Tuesday. Four witnesses were summoned to testify at the court including Munir's Wife Suciwati. Two among the witnesses did not present at the court, intelligence officers Budi Santosa and As'ad Ali.
Suciwati told the court about Munir's statements regarding people surrounding his murder. On Pollycarpus, Suciwati remembered Munir told her that Polly was a weird and too friendly for person he recently knew.
On Muchdi Purwoprandjono the defendant in the case, Suciwati said Munir believed that the major general was among the most offended officer as he was stripped from his post on the political activists kidnapping in 1998 after only holding the post for less than a year.
ndra Setiawan former head of the state run Garuda Indonesia also testified to the court. Indra said he had two meetings with the defendant after the murder of Munir, the first was at the State Intelligence Agency's office in South Jakarta and the second was in Hotel Mulia.
Munir was murdered in the Garuda Indonesia flight to Amsterdam on September 6th 2004.
