IDX Suspends Bakrie Group Shares

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The Indonesia Stock Exchange suspended on Tuesday trade on six shares of Bakrie Broters Group a day after most of the shares lost its value over the maximum one-day limit of 30 per cent.

The IDX suspended trade on shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk. (BUMI), PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantation Tbk. (UNSP), PT Bakrieland Development Tbk. (ELTY), PT Bakrie Brothers Tbk. (BNBR), PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk. (ENRG), dan PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk. (BTEL), for unspecified time limit starting on Tuesday.

One among the shares lost over 40 per cent of its value and the IDX is demanding explanation from the business group.

PT Bakrie Brothers Tbk lost the most significant value with 40,81 per cent, ELTY was down by 36,17 per cent, UNSP lost 35,21 per cent, BUMI 32,03 per cent, ENRG 32,69 per cent, and BTEL 26 per cent.
