Moody's Scale Rating for Indonesia Issued
Tuesday, 13 February, 2007 | 16:44 WIB
TEMPO Interactive, Hong Kong: Moody's Investors Service has announced the use of the new national scale rating for Indonesia.
The Group Managing Director of Moody's for Asia Pacific Thomas J. Keller said that the scale showed a relative rating on credit feasibility including a relevant external support to Indonesia by applying Moody's globally-declared rating.
According to him, investors and other users of the credit rating will find that the national rating scale is really useful in providing great differences on credit in a certain country.
In Indonesia, he said, the national scale rating will specifically offer a benefit when the global rating scale for most domestic issuers is grouped into a narrower rating scale. “This rating scale divides the rating even further into a more sensitive group,” he said.
The rating issuance was a follow-up of Moody's step in acquiring 99 percent of the shares of PT Kasnic Credit Rating Indonesia, whose name was changed to PT Moody's Indonesia.
