Government to Offer State Bonds

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The government will offer State Bonds (SUN) once again at an auction on January 23, 2007.
According to Samsuar Said, Head of the Public Relations Bureau at the Department of Finance, the indicative amount of state bonds that will be auctioned is Rp3 trillion.
The state bonds sale is being carried to meet financial targets of the 2007 State Budget and to create a reference for this year.
The state bonds that will be auctioned have the serial number of FR0042, offer a permanent interest rate and will fall due in July 15, 2027.
“The payment of the interest coupon will be made twice a year—on January 15 and July 15,” said Samsuar at a press conference in Jakarta.
The auction, he said, will be carried out by Bank Indonesia with an open system and by using various a pricing method.
The auction will start in January 23, 2007 on 10 am, and will end on 12 am.
“The result will be announced at once,' he said.
Bonds with FR0042 serial number will be transferred in January 25, 2007.
