Bakrie Brothers Projects Growth of 25 Percent

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: PT Bakrie & Brothers has estimated that revenues in 2007 will grow around 25 percent of this year's reaching to Rp4.1 trillion. In addition, business profits before tax is projected to increase by 50 percent compared to 2006 with more than Rp800 billion.

In order to pursue the growth, Bakrie & Brothers has budgeted capital expenditure of US$200 million (around Rp1.8 trillion). The amount is higher than this year's capital expenditure with Rp1.06 trillion. “Capital expenditure in the telecommunication sector absorbs the largest amount with US$100 million,” said President Director of PT Bakrie & Brothers Bobby Gafur Tuesday (12/18) in Jakarta.

The biggest proportion is allocated to PT Bakrie Telecom . Capital expenditure of the plantation sector is US$60 million; and infrastructure, US$40 million.
