BPK’s Audit of IBRA Proper
Thursday, 21 December, 2006 | 15:23 WIB
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) has evaluated that the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) presented its financial report properly.
An anonymous source at BPK revealed that no material mismatches or violations were found.
Former IBRA Head Syafruddin Temenggung said he expected that the results of the BPK audit could answer various questions and suspicion aimed at him.
In its report, BPK also mentioned that asset restitution rate of debtors of Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance reached 30 percent.
“This is higher than my calculation. I only estimated that the maximum restitution would be 28 percent,” said Syafruddin.
When Tempo asked for confirmation, BPK member I Gusti Agung Ray refused uted to comment but promised to provide clarification today (12/21).
