TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) revealed that most of the regional governments are disorganized in preparing their financial reports.
As a result, the real financial condition and prospect of regional economics are difficult to observe. In addition, according to the Head of BPK Anwar Nasution, there are big possibilities for a violation to happen. For the time being, the violations have been reported to the Corruption Eradication Committee.
He acknowledged that the limitation of a regions' capability in preparing financial report is a reminder of previous times. In addition to seeing the real financial condition, said Anwar, a good report must convince creditors. According to him, investors will be more convinced to give the funds to regions with good reports.
