TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: PT Indomobil Sukses Internasional is looking for an automobile company that is suitable for PT Unicor Prima Motor as a replacement of Mazda Mobil Corporation, which decided to leave in March.
According to Indomobil’s Managing Director Gunadi Sindhuwinata, there are still resources who are ready to work in the company which is now only marketing Audi cars. “The names are still being processed,” Gunadi told the press last week.
Currently Indomobil functions as a distributor of vehicles under Suzuki, Nissan, Audi, Hino, Renault, Ssangyong, Volvo and Volkswagen brands.
Gunadi explained Mazda’s dismissal from Unicor management will not disturb the financial performance of the parent company. This is because Mazda’s performance has not been significant. “So Mazda’s role is very small.”
Moreover, according to Gunadi, Unicor still has an assembling business with a capacity of 200,000 units of cars per year.
