Indonesian Companies to Attend Exhibition in Iran

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Indonesian companies will promote their products and services at the international trade exhibition, “Iran Food and Hospitality 2006,” at the Teheran International Exhibition Center, Iran.
It is expected that this exhibition is expected will be able to increase non oil and natural gas exports, especially as regards food products.
Companies that will take part in the exhibition include PT Agropangan Putra Mandiri (tea), PT Bumi Tangerang Mesindotama (chocolate), PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk.
(food), PT Mayora Indah (biscuits and sweets), PT Profood Mitra Sukses (food processing machines), PT Inni Pioneer Food Industry (canned food), PT Bina Karya Prima (margarine and cooking oil), PT Laksamana Mulia Sentosa Indonesia (farming products), PT Sarinah (cooking oil and tea) and BKPPMD Jakarta (food investment).
A total of 16 countries will participate in the exhibition, namely Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Spain, Greece, Australia, Turkey, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, India, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia.
Iran has the highest amount of citizens among Middle East countries, approximately 68.7 million people.
In 2005, its GDP totaled US$ 552.8 billion, its economic growth 4.8 percent, and its income per capita US$8,100.
