Indonesia Heading for Disaster in 2050
Indonesia should reduce its energy consumption or a large disaster will occur in 2050. The use of energy is alleged as the main cause of earth’s temperature rise of 6.4 celcius degree over the last century.

Leighton Wins Coal Mining Contract
Leighton International, sister company of Leighton Holdings Limited Group, an undertaking for project development and the biggest contractor in Australia, won the contract worth US$350 million from the PT Mahakam Sumber Jaya (MSJ) , mining company owned by Tanito Coal Group. The contract is for a coal mining expansion in Indonesia that will be for five years. It will be started soon and end by April 2013.

Information and Communication Minister Muhammad Nuh is optimistic that the internet can be accessed by entire villages in Indonesia by 2011. “We plan to have it four years earlier than what the Education Department targeted as 2015,” he said in Jakarta yesterday.

The House of Representatives (DPR) yesterday, decided to invite President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to the consultation meeting, to explain the government's plan to increase fuel prices. “I hope the meeting can be carried out this week,” said DPR Deputy Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar.
